As you can see below, I tried my hand at clay sculpting for a while. This was in Pomona about 1975. On the right is one of my air brush renditions. I had a fling with air brushing around the mid 90's. The size of the work below on the right was about 2' square.
The face below on the left is one of my very first digital drawings. I did it in the church office in Brenham Texas about 1979. It was done on the church compyter, an apple Mac. No tablet, just a mouse.
I rarely do realistic art of a real person. But this (above) is a rare exception. This is a drawing I did of a art piece of Columbus.
Above is the title screen of a computer program I wrote. It was first called "Fun Read" then I changed it to this. In the 80's and 90's I was big into programming. I wrote several computer programs that I used in my classroom with my 5th graders. This was my biggest venture. It was a program that helped kids learn to read by associating pictures with the sounds of letters and other phonetical sounds. I put hundreds of hours into working on programs like this. It was kind of crazy because little actually came of the programs - but looking back, I don't regret it because I just loved programming!
